catechism

We are continually developing a 'catechism' course, designed for young teens and their parents, that runs seperately from our Sunday night programming. Hosted in a living room on a weeknight, catechism is intended to familiarize our youth with the basic tenets of the gospel, and to encourage open and honest discussion among peers and with their parents as they begin to take ownership of their developing worldviews. The 10-week course progresses through the Four Colours of Nexus, and includes a visit to a local Sikh temple, as well as a social awareness field trip, such as a visit to a soup kitchen or homeless shelter.

Catechism ends with a 'graduation', an opportunity for participants to share what they have learned with the larger community, and to in turn be affirmed in their continual growth and in their place in God's family, and in our community.
